  19. HOTEL ON BEACH:
  20. None.    There are numerous inexpensive hotels and guest houses on Carriacou. The Silver Beach Hotel on the beach at the one end of Hillsborough, the main town, can arrange a boat to Sandy Island.

  23. Hillsborough. The town itself is that friendly little Caribbean village we usually only hear about. No one tries to sell you anything on the beach and the local kids will come swimming with you.

  26. Water access only. Transportation is usually on the expensive side. Arrange a time for pick up.

  28. QUALITY OF BEACH:
  29. Unique sand islet. There are palms and other trees that provide a little shade. A curved shape due to protecting reef on one side. Absolutely great swimming  and snorkeling here in well protected azure waters.

  31. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
  32. An uninhabited islet. Good snorkeling just offshore. This is a very popular anchorage and destination for charter boats cruising the Grenadines. Chances are you won't be alone but will likely meet some fun people from those anchored yachts. Bring the standard for survival: food, water, reading material, sunscreen. Silver Beach Hotel can arrange for a boat and provide an island picnic in a basket.
